Hello all,
I want to adjust the speed off the laser head when it’s not firing, knows someone how to do please?
The speed is too high when the head jumping between the shapes,
I’m using a ruida 6442s
Thank you all

What unpleasant thing happens when it does this?
The machine’s limits are set in Edit → Machine Settings → Vendor Settings
in the Maximum Speed
for each axis.
Edit to add: On the machine panel (and perhaps also through LightBurn), you can lower the Idle Move Speed
, which should affect only the “non-lighting lines” of the design.
However, if the machine was once operating correctly and is now misbehaving, then something mechanical has changed, so limiting the speed will not fix the underlying problem.
When is firing there is no problem but when he jump to next shape it’s going so fast that belt runs and the laser head stays behind, like slipping
That suggests a mechanical problem, perhaps due to a worn belt, a loose tensioning pulley, or a loose screw somewhere in the drive train.
Look for those problems before changing any controller settings!
I checked the belt nothing stand t, but it’s possible and I will change it, but I still want to know off there is a possibility to adjust the speed between the shapes
Have you tried doing what I suggested in the previous posts?
This would go faster/better if you answered @ednisley questions. We know you know, but we are at a disadvantage.
Is this something new?
Did you change anything?
The troubleshooting is different depending on your answers, which are limited to non existent.
the belt is still good, I’m sure, and there is no dirt in it, the wheels have also been checked properly. the machine is 6 years old always well maintained and kept clean, but now it is starting to show some problems, like this, sometimes when i move the bar in x/y away with the control panel it also does the same problem but i halved the speed now it doesn’t happen anymore, That’s why I think if I adjust the speed between the shapes, I will have temporarily solved the problem until I know more Thank you all for your answers
