I am in the process of buying a desktop fiber laser. Initially I was looking at a Gweike G2 20w. I saw on AliExpress that 30w with a larger working area were around the same price (1400€).
The AliExpress lasers state that they use EZcad2 software. Asking the seller, they state I need to have an upgraded BJJCZ board (200€) to use LightBurn, but everywhere I look, I see that EzCad boards can be used with LightBurn. Is the seller just trying to get extra money or will it really not work?
The machine may come by default with an EZCad2 Lite board, and they are trying to upgrade to the full EZCad2 board. LightBurn will support either the Lite board or the full board. But, just a guess on my part what they are trying to sell you.
Thanks! I am probably better off buying the thing without an upgraded board. If it works with Lightburn it’s good and I saved money, otherwise I buy a board separately and I would have still saved money
