Circles burn at tips when using Rotary

I have been using lighburn for 2D work for years with no issues. Recently tried to use the rotary and found that the tips of circles and O’s end up being burned on the tips. I suspect this is a result of the A axis spinning slower than the X axis or vice versa. I thought the G-code would adjust and set the speeds to accommodate the diameter.
I have confirmed that the rotary appears to be setup correctly. Using the rotary test, the rotary rotates exactly 360 degrees.
Please advise what other settings I should be checking.
I have a Jtech laser mounted on a hobby CNC machine running GRBL.
Thanks in advance.

The attached image shows that curves burn and straight lines are not affected.
