So I did a tumbler with the 49ers logo. On the computer the oval was what I wanted. When I engraved it the oval came out stretched. It is not the first time it’s happened with these types of shapes. My question is what is causing it to come out so stretched out? Does the steps per rotation cause that if they are not precise?
Yes, but they would have to be considerably out. I believe the steps setting would be different for a rotator like a mug engraver than for a flat axis, and also it has to change according to the diameter of mug.
