CO2 laser - fan running when power is off

Shortly after setting up my CO2 laser (no name brand - purchase used), I noticed that even when I switched the ‘Mains’ switch (rotational), I can hear the fan running. I now unplug my system completely when not in use - I’m concerned there is some issue with wiring allowing some ‘back-feeding’ of voltage.

Is this problem isolated to me? or do any others here in this community have that same issue and an explanation.

Is this an abDH57vE0 laser?

Do you have a link or anything to this device?

Maybe with an abDH57vE0 type machine, it’s supposed to run the fan at all times…?

In all likelihood, the fans wired to the mains directly, not through the switch. Your only option is probably to follow the wires…
