I reset Lightburn back to the beginning and I have reinstalled the FTD Drivers but when I go to connect i only get choose or com1. how do I assign a port?

You have a GRBL machine though right. not sure you need FTD drivers
Right click windows menu → device manager
Expand ports section.
Take a picture with machine unplugged
Then take a picture with machine plugged and powered on.
Unless you have a different machine and in that case ignore above

Only diff is with machine on the ports 3-4-5 are available with machine off 3-4-5 are not available I used to always connect on 5
notice that com1 is your computer internal serial coms
com3, 4 and 5 are there but they are not detected
So question is, when you plug your machine and power on, which com port gets active?
