Confusion about print and cut and registration marks

I’ve watched this video six times

I’m thrilled to have discovered the print and cut feature. It will save me a bunch of time on smaller projects.

But for the pass through, I can’t figure out how it ‘knows’ about the art relative to the registration marks. If you look at the video, he’s being quite cavalier about moving the head of the mermaid around. Doesn’t there have to be consistent alignment? I’m guessing that with all the moving, you’re also grabbing the little green registers even though I can’t see it happening…

thanks all

When you align the targets Lightburn adjusts the graphic to match. You don’t see it on screen, it’s internal. I think it’s better if you can keep things “square”, but Lightburn can adjust if it’s not. Here’s my take on a large print and cut project. Sometimes a different viewpoint helps the understanding.
