Connecting to Emblaser2

Hello, I was recently given an Emblaser2 but I am having problems getting Lightburn to talk to it.

I have read the user manual many times and have followed the instructions in there, but still no joy.

The manual says that when first powered on, the Emblaser2 will broadcast a wi-fi network called Emblaser 2 OR Emblaser 2 + its MAC address. And that I should join this network when I am presented with the Darkly Labs screen.

After several false starts I did manage to do that once, and I filled out the relevant boxes that Darkly offered me that configured the wi-fi. Except, when I went to join the wi-fi I couldn’t get a response from the laser and so deleted it and I tried to start again. No luck, the Emblaser had stopped broadcasting its network name.

I am using Windows10 64 bit and I have a standard Lightburn licence that is up to date. Should I have installed the original Lightburn that comes with the Emblaser2? If I do that, it will overwrite my existing version 20.0.04 that I use for two other lasers.

Can anybody advise me on how to overcome my problems relating to the Emblaser - apart from the judicious use of a sledge hammer?

Put the hammer down!

The license keys that come with them have a special tag on them.
If you can send us both license keys to support@lightburnsoftware.com, we can either merge the two keys, or add the tag to your existing key.

You can also deactivate your current license by going to “Help > License Management” and click on deactivate. (You can always reactivate later if you know your key.)

LightBurn will close. Reopen it and activate using the Darkly key and try the setup again.

Hi Aaron

Although I did manage to get this to work on my trial setup computer when I tried to install it on my design and production computers I could not get it to display the Emblaser section across the top in the main menu bar.

I am obviously doing something wrong, but what exactly.

Would you mind setting out the exact steps that I need to go through to enable both the licences on each individual machine before I run out of licence reactivations allowed?
