Hi,
With my CNC 3018 pro machine, i’m able to burn drawings, but the “connection” (travel) lines from picture to picture of line to picture etc. are very visible. Same depth as the picture. How can I solve this?
If you have a GRBL device, and your laser is still on when moving between shapes, like this:

It most likely means you are using GRBL 1.1f or later, but do not have the controller in Laser Mode. Fix this by typing $32=1 in the console and pressing enter
If you have a Ruida or other DSP controller and are seeing this happen, it is most likely a dying high-voltage power supply unit (PSU). The drive circuit that turns the laser power off and on tends to go first, before the part that co…
And after you read that, you’ll want to read this too:
The summary:
Turn on Laser Mode to get rid of the travel lines
You’re trying to move too fast, which is why you don’t get enough power
You need to zero the machine
3018’s are pre-configured for use as CNC machines, not lasers, so their settings and speeds will likely need to be changed to give you acceptable results with LightBurn.
To see the existing settings, you can type $$ into the console in LightBurn and press enter, or go to Edit > Machine Settings. Both are showing the same values, b…
