Controlling power from LightBurn

Machine: K40 with Nano board

Board: Laser board

Firmware: Smoothie

Problem/ Question: After installing the laser board successfully, I am able to control the laser from LightBurn. But the laser will work ONLY if the power set on the digital selector directly on the machine. Changes to power inside lightBurn will not be reflected in the actual laser cut. For example id Lightburn line cut set for Power 60% and the digital interface on the machine is set up to 0:00:00 I get no laser output.

That is normal and expected. The digital panel (or the analog knob if you had one of those instead) sets the maximum output power for the laser, and the percentage in LightBurn drives the laser within that range.
