Convert to path greyed out

I have lightburn 1.7.01. This worked fine until I tried it this morning…

I drew a curved line, typed my text, selected both line and text, but when I right click, the convert to path option is always grey. I’ve used this same process multiple times and it always worked great. Did something change?

I believe lines are already a path. Try just selecting your text.

See if you can node edit your text.

Select the TEXT and the text only.

I’m trying to get my text to follow a curved line, circle, square, ect. Until this morning, I would draw a curvy line, type out the text, select them both, right click, select “convert to path”. The text and line would join and the text would follow the curvature of the line. Now it is not working.

I selected the text only, convert to path is still grey…

“Apply Path to Text” is the command you want. Convert to path changes a shape or text to a vector.

Yes, that was what I was looking for! Unfortunately, it’s no longer in my list when I right click. But I found it in the tools menu.

Thanks for your help!

That’s interesting. I’m running the same version and it’s there. Maybe a Windows/Mac thing. I’ll have to check on my PC.
