I have a project that is larger than one sheet of wood…It has about 80 fine cuts and 10 major cuts…Is there a way to select 1/2 of the page other than having to click on each cut and then group…
You can draw a shape around the items you want to collect and use auto-group.
You can hold down the shift key and drag the mouse over the items you want to include in the selection.

It also works the same as CAD.
If you Lclick and hold and select the items going LEFT and up or down, it will select everything the line touches.
If you Lclick and hold and select RIGHT and up or down it will only select items fully enclosed in the selection area
