I have the problem that purchased files do not open in the correct size in Lightburn; they are always shown quite small.
Does anyone know what this could be?

Without more information such as what type of file, etc., it’s only a guess on anyone’s part. A common issue with SVG files is having the wrong DPI import setting. This can be checked / set in the settings window> import / export tab.

I’ve tried it with both the svg, dxf and ai files and the result is always the same. I’ll test it with the settings window and take a look.

Some actual examples of the issue would be helpful. Show an image with actual size listed and show how it imports with actual sizes listed.

Were they drawn in Inches and you are importing as Millimeter?

I’m assuming that does it actually make a difference during the import if I have set mm? If so, how can I get around this?

Assume you are importing DXF files, and they were designed in inches, but you work in metric. Your DXF import setting would be:
