Creality 10w laser module comes on as soon as power on & stays on

laser will home & frame but laser stays on all the time

HI Kevin

I searched Topics but couldn’t find much except “Contact the manufacturer”. While doing a further web search it was reported that that issue can be hardware or firmware related.

You might find more answers from Creality users forum and an email to Creality will probably help…and maybe someone here on this forum might respond with further info ASAP.

Most of these use three wires, two for power and one for pwm to control the lasers apparent power.

I’d suggest you check the pwm pin to see if it’s active, if not then it’s a problem with the laser module.

Make sense?

Thanks Pete,IRL I know it worked for a while until the Lightburn free trial expired then I got discouraged & put it in a box for about a year & 1/2, I just got it out & was going to dedicate my Ender 3 v2 as a laser engraver since I bought a new v3 printer.

I appreciate your help.

Ai this point it doesn’t matter if it makes sense or not, I’ll try anything. I’ll post an update as soon as I have a response. Thank you Sir.

well I grounded the negative pin & pwm pin of the laser & connected the v+ to the power source. The fan & led came on but the laser stayed off. looks like Im going to need a controle module. or if I could find a J6 SMD power inductor I could repair it,

thanks everyone for all your help & input.
