There are a lot of great videos on the web that help people get started with LightBurn. The manual itself is also very well written and is constantly being improved.
Your question itself - draw a line, mark it, activate edit notes and drag in the middle with the mouse in the direction you want.
May I also suggest that you select Create Ellipse, draw the ellipse as needed, convert the shape to a path, select Edit Nodes for your ellipse, delete the segments not needed by hovering over the undesired segments (not the actual nodes) and pressing the D key.
