Does anyone have any idea why when I’m trying to cut the second pass it goes off the line?
Please look at the attached image:
You have unaccounted motion in your laser mechanism. Eliminate any possible backlash.
Do a full mechanical review:
- pinion gears are properly secured to stepper shaft
- all couplers properly secured
- review belt tension
- wheel tension
- any other mechanical linkage

You may be having stability issues with your work platform. Make sure that your laser is set up on a stable surface that will not be affected by being bumped: or children, pets or even by you working around the machine while it is running.

@berainlb @Doug1955, thank you guys I followed your recommendations in this case the solution was to fix the belt tension as you @berainlb suggested in item 3.
