I’m getting an error saying “Cut might be out of bounds due to over scan settings. Continue anyway?” If I continue, the laser travels to the edge of the machine and sounds the alarm. I have no issues cutting lines or in line mode, I only get the error when trying to do a “fill” or an image.
This is a new install of lightburn on a new computer and I have not changed any settings.
When in fill mode the laser has to go past the design, slow down to a stop and reverse direction to get back up to speed before reaching the edge of the design. This is called overscan. If you look at the preview window and enable the “Show traversal moves” checkbox you will see how far past the design the laser must travel. Adjust the position of your workpiece to clear the overscan.
I checked the preview and the overscan, everything looks fine and is well within the boundries of the work space.
I did not import the settings from the other computer as this was the same error that had appeared on there after not using the software for about 2 weeks, so I figured I would try a new install on a different computer.
