Hi,
I am new to using Lightburn and my laser as well. I hope someone on this forum can help with a problem that is costing me much time, material, and many headaches. As an example, if I select a file to cut of a circle or some other shape, sometimes my laser will begin the cut “inside” the circle, then cut a straight line usually to the right until it reaches the outer perimeter of the circle. The laser will then proceed to cut along the circular perimeter but stop short of closing the circle and completing the cut. If I cut an ornament with layers, the first layer may cut fine, however; the second “background layer” located beside the first layer will then either be cut directly on top of the first layer or be cut with errors thus ruining the material. I have posted a short video on You Tube if you wish to see an example of part of what is described here. I have created some files from scratch that have run perfectly so I am confused as to what is happening. Please ease help if you can!

Could you show us an example of that? I have watched your video but wasn’t able to determine what you were doing on purpose and what you consider an error. I can see (just about) some settings you have for your shape on the video but its not very clear at all. What does the preview window show you?
You started the shape so it won’t cut onto the material in your video, again I don’t really understand what the video is showing. It would be easier if we could view the file and settings.
One thing I’d suggest is using SEND rather than START and also clear the memory on your controller.
Some screenshots including your settings as well as the file you are struggling with would be very useful.
Thanks for trying to help. I have made a simple ornament frame to in Lightburn to show what my laser is doing frequently. I have made a short video and taken pictures to illustrate the result of running this file. Please help if you can. Please see You Tube Video Link Below.
