Cutting letters

Hello
I have Onefinitycnc, Aspier and 24W jtech laser.
I am thinking of buying Lightburn if it can help me with my problem.
I want to be able to cut out cursive text. I have cut out but the text is so small that the material breakes off very easily. I’ve tried making it bold but it doesn’t get any thicker.
I can use node editing in aspire but it takes so long time and the text doesn’t look like the original.
My question is, in Lightburn, can I make the text bolder without making it bigger?

I think what you’re looking for is the ability to outset the font. This is possible in LightBurn. However, once you outset the text it will no longer be treated as text if that’s important to you. It will be treated as just basic shapes (that happen to look like letters).

However, note that the text will in fact be bigger depending on how you’re using that word.

You should use the LightBurn trial to see if it does what you need. As far as built-for-purpose software, I suspect LightBurn will be quite a bit more capable for laser work vs Aspire.
