Just new to laser and trying lightburn but having a isse with paths. As per image im creating a template to use on my Xtool but having big issues in open/closed paths and cannot find how to fix. Tried several posts and videos but non appear to work on my item. circled is the sections that i dont appear to be able to remove the lines. Any assistance would be really helpfull.
The key insight: a single node can only join two lines.
When you see a node with more lines, the node is sitting atop at least two different paths and at least one of the paths isn’t part of the node.
The shape of the node tells that story: “Start and end nodes are […] somewhat larger than connecting nodes.”
So those somewhat larger squares tell you those rounded cutouts start and end on the line, but are not part of it. That means you cannot remove the section of line between those nodes, because it’s continuous from top to bottom of the larger rectangle.
