Cylinder Correction-Mirror Distance-Gweike G2 Pro

I am having a problem discerning what my mirror distance is on my Gweike G2 Pro (150mm x 150mm). The focusing distance is listed as 261mm from the base to the shell head of my lens enclosure. The actual optimal distance seems to be about 265mm on flat objects. My model doesn’t have a tube to measure half the distance and add it. Does anyone know how much I distance I need to add for my specific model?

Also, when I put my ‘Show valid boundary’ on, it shows a ridiculous right and left boundary that falls way off the sides of my cylinder. My diameters are correct. It’s obviously something I am doing wrong, but I have no idea why. Any ideas?

Also, probably more related to my first question, does anybody know the DOF for focus on the 150x150? I’ve watched YT videos that tell me that I need to ‘focus in a little.’ Seems there ought to be something more precise than that.

It’s a great little laser for what it is, but I really don’t want to have to deal with setting up a rotary every time to do a simple logo on an insulated cup. Cylinder Correction should be my simple answer.

Thanks in advance for any input anyone is willing to share.

I would guess this measurement would be close:

The “Show Boundary” represents the limits of where you can place the artwork on the screen and still get the desired effect, not the width of the curve, IIRC

Thanks. Yeah. We can see where the galvos are. I already took a guess. I was just hoping somebody had a spec somewhere.

Thanks for the 411 on the show boundary. At least now I know I’m not crazy, at least about that. But that makes zero sense. That boundary needs to fall off at where the thing to be engraved ends and not a ‘look what we can do’ for LB. That is worthless. What matters is when it falls off the thing to be engraved. At least now I understand that it’s worthless. Thanks.
