Dark Spots While Engraving,

Hello, I have a Ray 5 20W laser and when I engrave something it looks great however there is a couple of spots that engrave darker then the rest, I did clean the everything and tried again and the dark spots are still there just not as many does anyone have any suggestions on how to correct this? Should I get the air assist?

A picture is worth a thousand words.

It’s hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks like the dark spots are a bit to the right of center… If you can confirm whether the dark spots always appear in exactly the same place on your workspace, that might help narrow down the problem a bit.

Did you try the “overcut”-Option in the advanced layer-menue?

I cant tell if its in the exact same place every time however it is in the same small area, I have not tried that yet, Im new at this and didnt know adout the Overcut or what it is or where it is.

Bad spot in the wood, but looks like two different engravings in two different spots.
Maybe try and reduce power or increase speed.

They are 2 different after I cleaned the laser I tried it again and it was just dark between the demons eye.
