Deleting unwanted path

I cannot delete unwanted lines from LB.
In the past, I have used my phone to take a pic of the object that I desire to create a pattern of. Then email to my computer. Then save as a pdf to open in Inkscape. Where I do my drawing to create the vector file. Now, for the first time, when I open this in LB, my email address shows up at the top and bottom of the page. (It does not show up in Inkscape) This is linked to several paths inside the drawing. It is also so far above and below the object that it is to large for the parameters of the machine. How do I delete these lines?

Perhaps:

Select the whole mess
Hit Ungroup as needed
Select only the part you want
Use Edit → Invert Selection to select everything else
Hit Del to get rid of it

Some files may import as a huge connected lump, rather than a group. If doing Ungroup a few times doesn’t make any headway, try Arrange → Break Apart.
