Difference between display and laser result

Hello,

I created a sketch with Fusion 360 and exported it as a DXF file. I imported this file into Lightburn version 1.6.00. The graphical display in Lightburn is correct. Unfortunately, the laser result has some offset lines. I use an iKier K1 Pro 70W as a laser. Does anyone have an idea why this might be.

Hi Manfred,

Could you please provide a couple images of

  • DXF
  • What was expected (LightBurn screen)
  • What was engraved.

Or you could also upload your LBRN so we can take a look

As requested, some files for my request
The DXF file contains entire logo. The remaining files only relate to the test of sharing the logo with the incorrect lines. Thanks for the help.

Test Linienversatz.lbrn2 (20,4 KB)

Star Trek Abzeichen ohne Hilfslinien v3.dxf (1,3 MB)

EDIT: i was a bit blind.
Ignore the previous message

I think is your -0.2mm kerf
image

Do still try the pattern
try running this pattern on a bit of cardboard and take picture please
Dot Test with Angle.lbrn (46.3 KB)

the jagged lines indicate either a lose belt or a machine that isnt rigid to the surface
, the offset on the right lines may be a skipped step or skipped teeth on the belt pulley
or the whole machine moved on you while accelerating

check the belt tension and try to engrave more slowly / with less acceleration.
also make sure the object you are engraving doesnt move on its own due to vibrations. same goes for the machine. rigid surface, rubber feet, ideally glued or bolted down.

Thanks, you figured it out correctly it was due to the kerf offset. After I set it to 0 everything is lasered correctly. My rookie mistake. Thanks for the quick help. Great support.
