Hello nice community!
I have a 50w CO2 with Ruida.
Qu1: When i dock my components to the grid space, i does it ok on the vertical axis, but it goes a bit (1mm) under the X axis. Obviously, Lightburn gives me a out of bound message. Its new with LB1.7, or maybe I changed some settings without realising it. Any idea what I might have done wrong?
Qu 2, when a job has finished, the head goes to the bottom left and I have to press home so that it goes to the higher left (which is where it goes when I power my laser. Is there such a thing as a macro that can home automaticaly after a job is finished? (I believe macros are only available for gcode lasers)
Thanks in advance!
Your previous discussion ended inconclusively, but some further evidence suggests it has something to do with the initial placement or the object structure.
That’s determined by the Ruida controller, not LightBurn.
On my KT332N, Menu → Para Setting → Machine Config
gives the choices of what to do at the end of the job. I set mine to return to the home position in the rear-right corner, after some experimentation to discover what the choices actually did.
Thanks for your response. doesn’t look like I have this option on my Ruida on OMTech 50 watts. This option was available when I had my diode
If you’re looking for it in LightBurn, it won’t be there, because the Ruida controller handles it and LightBurn does not have any way to affect it.
Push some buttons on the controller and poke around in its menus to see what you find.
Ah I think that’s what it is. My setting was “origin”, I changed it to “absolute origin”. See if it works! I’ll let you know. Thanks a bunch!
Didn’t know I could capture a pull down, haven’t been until the last upgrade.
You have three options.
-
- Absolute goes to 0, 0 or home postilion in the machine
-
- Origin goes to the last place you pressed origin on the machine console. This is usually called user origin.
-
- No Return, it just sits wherever it is when the job ends.
Over 90% of the time, I have User Origin as a Start from location and I’d like it to return there.
Have fun
