This seems like an elementary question, but I can’t seem to figure out how to dock, or move, the color palette from the bottom to the side. The manual states that you can do it, but I can’t figure out how to make it happen!
I’m having a similar issue with the color palette and position information disappearing. This forum subject describes a similar issue.
At the far left of the colours/layers palette there is a vertical dotted line … click, hold and drag that to move the palette. I moved mine to run across the top where it works better for me.

I’m still having issues with the bottom of the window disappearing in Lightburn. The color palette and the position information in the bottom ribbon seem to just disappear sometimes, and I can’t seem to get it back. Is there a solution for this issue?
That’s primarily why I moved the colour palette to the top.
