Atomstack A5 pro with m100 module .Has been working fine for year now has lack of cutting power but all 4 diodes are lighting . Presumed it was the power board adapter but now nothing is lighting and the blue % done bar starts at 99%
Try a new USB cable.
By “nothing”, do you mean the laser or the power switch?
laser doesnt light up at all it goes through all the motions but the % done bar on lightburn starts at 67%
That indicates a possible, in the order listed:
- Laser wire connector problem loose.
- A broken wire to the laser.
- A bad laser module.
Not a problem. The controller accepts 67% of the program (in a storage space called a buffer) right away, then gets busy running it.
It sounds like you may have two separate issues going on.
- Low cutting power at first – that usually points to either a dirty lens/focus issue, or the diode starting to wear out (they lose power over time even if they still light up). Cleaning the lens and checking focus is worth trying first.
- Now nothing is lighting and LightBurn shows % done starting at 99% – that’s often a connection or hardware problem. Check:
- The USB cable and port (try another one if possible).
- The power supply and power board (make sure it’s outputting the correct voltage).
- If all else fails, it could be the main control board failing.
Since you’ve already swapped/considered the power board adapter, I’d start by testing with another power supply if you have one. If the diodes still don’t light at all, it’s likely the control board is gone and may need replacement.
