Duplicates removed when made in Inkscape but not in Lightburn

I create an objects to cut in a cad file and export the objects to a DXF file. I open the dxf in Inkscape and copy the objects multiple times, snap them together and then save the file as an svg file. When I open the svg file in Lightburn and delete duplicates Lightburn finds all the duplicate overlaps as expected.

If I bring in the dxf into Lightburn and try to snap the objects together the objects will not snap and no duplicates are found. If I create a square in Lightburn, copy it and snap it to the copy, Lightburn will not find duplicates and the laser will go over the same line twice. I then converted the two squares to path and it still did not find duplicates.

Can someone explain why Lightburn objects do not find duplicates when created or brought in as a dxf file?

Can you upload a sample where this is happening?
