Echec ouverture. (Opening failure)

Bonjour

Hello,
I’m having a little problem. I can’t connect to the SCULPFUN laser. Failed to open the port - it’s already in use.
It was working fine until yesterday. I uninstalled the LIGHTBURN software and reinstalled it, same problem.

Failing to open the port is a Windows issue, not Lightburn. Lightburn just accepts whatever Windows offers it.

  1. Does Lightburn offer a COM port in the Laser window?
  2. Does Windows make the connection tone when the laser USB is plugged into the PC?
  3. Have you tried unplugging the USB cable on both ends and reseating it?
  4. Are you using a USB hub and have another device plugged into that?

It’s unusual to have this behavior emerge without cause.

Have you changed anything near (or beside) the laser engraver around the time when this connection problem started? Accidentally changing the USB data cable to charging cable that can’t pass data is one of the common hiccups we see here.

Are you using a USB Hub? Have you recently added othter USB devices to your computer?

Have you moved the computer or the sculpfun into another room or plugged it in to a different wall outlet?

Are you getting any unexpected messages or garbled data in the Console window in LightBurn?
It 's often helpful to capture what you’re seeing there. You can do this with a Screenshot…

… or you can select and copy text from the Console window in LightBurn and paste it into a reply here.

il me propose plusieurs ports com, j’ai tout essayé.
Il n y a pas de tonalité même si on branche et on débranche.

Quand je lance la recherche du laser, le programme lightburn ne le trouve pas.

This indicates Windows is not aware the laser is connected. There is a GRBL device on COM10. What is that device?

Does your laser have an Emergency Stop button. Is the laser showing it has power with an indicator light?

  1. Unplug EVERY USB device except a mouse and keyboard connection.
  2. Reboot your PC and launch Lightburn.
  3. Turn on the laser.
  4. Plug in the USB cable from the laser.
  5. You should hear the tone from Windows indicating Windows sees the laser.
  6. If not, try another USB port in the PC.

Bonjour
J’ai essayé tout les ports pas de tonalité

Bonjour

je voudrais savoir si quelqu’un à une solution .

impossible de se connecter avec le laser.

l’ordinateur ne met aucun son quand je branche le laser.(sur les 3 ports USB).

I still see COM10 in the Devices list in the Laser window. That means something is still connected. If your laser is wanting to use the COM10 connection, that may cause the “busy?” message.

Did you do this? There should only be showing (Choose) in that window.

We may have to go into Windows Computer Management to see what is happening there.

je ne vois pas choisir.
je ne suis pas un pro en informatique

je ne sais pas comment faire pour voir la gestion de l’ordinateur Windows.

il y a que le laser qui est branché

I don’t see a choice.

I’m not a computer expert.

I don’t know how to view the Windows computer management.

Only the laser is plugged in.

If only the laser is plugged in, then unplug it and see if that COM10 in Lightburn goes away.

Are you using the correct power adaptor? There should be a (green) indication light when it’s plugged in. :

The laser should show up in the Ports tab in the Windows Device Manager like this and disappear, when you unplug it:
