Laser engraved and cut on a souped up k40 with an awesome.tech grbl controller. Reverse engineered the top cover of the commonly found lights and 3d printed a new top with a slot that goes all the way through from side to side and also holds the planchette.

The hot spot at the bottom middle may be caused by light coming in the sides of the acrylic. The sides can covered with opaque material or paint so the light goes only in the edge. Good job.
Where did you find those led lights?
I have been looking for some for some band signs I made like those and cant find suitable led.
