Hello, I am new with lasers. I get a elekslaser to try if its good for me to by a new machine.
Now I can move the laser over the X and Y axis. But the laser gifs blue light en no power te burn.
How can I test it or have I put somthing on in my Lightburn software. Power is 1000 in the software. Please has some one solutions?
A 2.5 watt laser will only engrave and not cut materials. How much power you need to use depends on the material you are trying to mark. For your laser, do some test with 318LPI, 80% power, and about 500mm/m on wood.
I am guessing you are moving much too fast.
Mikey. thanks for the info. I don’t know if thelaser is good. I can move in the X and Y axis. The liblue ligt comes of the laser in a nice clean spot. But when I put a paper under it, it will not burn. So I think I have no PWM to the laser. So Now I must find out if the controller or laser board is good or the laser self is defect.
What color is the paper.
White or some light colored papers dont absorb the energy.
Hi Jan
Also meant to say, Make sure your S-value Max is set to 1000 (Thats in device Settings). That tells you the laser can use maximum output
Use the Material Test (Thats under Laser Tools > Material test. That will show you the different levels of burn at various Speeds/Power settings.
If you dont have wooden board to practice, some cardboard will work.
Correct Focus distance above material..
Goggles on and watch for material overheat(Fire).
That will
