Eliminate lines using rotary tool

Hello, just curious what settings can use or try out to help prevent the lines seen after lasering when using rotary tool? Please see images of what im referring to and settings i used. Thanks

What kind of machine is this. You need to indicate so the people with that type om machine can respond. I am guessing it has to be a fiber because 1270LPI is not possible on anything else, except maybe an IR laser.

Hello, Brent
First place I would start, divide your circumference by your steps, it’s hard to see but looks like 251.327 so that would be 0.0196. That is how far the surface of your tumbler moves each microstep. That is where your tumbler will stop. Make your split a multiple of this number. You are pretty close on the first 0.020 split but as your tumbler rotates, you loose a little more and a little more until it skips to catch back up. Measure carefully, a little deviation make a big gap. . Then make your LI divide into the split. It’s a good place to start.
Also, if you can open up your splits a little larger, your engraving will speed way up.
Let us know hoe it goes. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:
