ELP 8 MP camera won't calibrate

I have an ELP 8 MP camera. The image captured by LB looks excellent but the camera won’t calibrate. About 1 in 20 times it will show an image in the .1-ish range but the other times it captures badly distorted images or even nothing at all. I had a different camera which I could calibrate but the optics were poor and it was hard to focus. This camera is crystal clear. Any ideas?

Without seeing what you’re seeing, most likely you’ve laid the dot pattern on the bed of the laser, instead of making it take up the right amount of space in the camera view:

The most common problems people have with the lens calibration are as follows: Honeycomb bed is visible, confusing the circle-finding code. What I did is select “fish eye” lens when in fact my camera apparently has a “standard” lens. Once I started over with the correct setting then all worked as expected. Thanks for the quick response!
