I would like to understand what exactly this does. I forget it sometimes but it does not seem to impact my results. Is this something that is machine specific? Or what does it do?
Just curious and like to know why I turn things on or off…
This commands the laser to pause at the beginning or end of the cut at a chosen power for a chosen amount of time.
Sometimes with thicker material the machine starts to move before the material is fully pierced. So this commands the laser to dwell at the start of the cut.
Similarly the laser is shut off at the end of the cut before the beam drag has caught up resulting in an incomplete cut so this setting commands the laser to dwell at the end of the cut.
