Enable laserpointer offset does not work at all

Hi All,
laser : Atomstack A70 Max
lightburn : 1.7

As several tutorials on Youtube explain I tried to adjust the offset from the crosshair.
The result was +17 mm on the X and +3 mm on the Y.
After clicking “Enable pointer offset” and “OK” It didn’t do anything. No compensation at all.
How can I solve this or what settings do I have to check?
