No matter what file I use, all I’m getting right now is a spinning wheel of death any time I try to run a file (press Play OR Send to Laser) as well as Preview.
Just upgraded to the most recent Lightburn version since I thought it might have to do with my older one. Still happening.
On a Macbook Pro running the latest OS. Ruida controller OMTech. I’ve run this thing for many many hours and with tons of different layer types.
I can’t do anything in Lightburn once this starts, so I also can’t export support data. Once I hit Preview, Start, or Send, it freezes until I force quit the program.
Please provide further detail on this. Please provide details of the hardware and the exact version number of OS. Might be valuable to share a video of the steps you take when you see this happen.
I’ve restarted my computer and now there’s only a single file causing this to happen. It’s a series of 10 grouped offset fills that previews fine when I remove all but one of the groups.
Seems like it’s too much for Lightburn to process? It does this even if I just have two of the groups instead of 1 - which is strange since I’ve run many other far more complex offset fill files before.
I just tested your file on my system which is almost identical (my Mac PowerBook is a bit older) without any problems. Preview comes immediately without any delay.
However, it should be noted that I do not have your original font installed on my machine and use my default font instead.
I restarted my computer (several more times, as I’d already done this), and the problem remained. I was only ever able to engrave the original group that I’d duplicated the others based on. Once I started trying to run the others (even one at a time) it would cause the program to happen.
I ended up having to switch to fill + line to get through this paid order. Still not sure what the real problem is.
Did you end up getting this resolved other than running fill+line? Asking because I am having the same exact issue with a file of mine and was only able to get it to run with the fill+line. On a MacBook Pro like you, too.
