Engrave and then cut burn in one operation

OK, I’m stumped. Simple answer I’m sure but I’m at a loss right now.

  1. 3 image layers
  2. First two set to engrave
  3. 3rd image layer set to trace cut the individual squares but no “Line” option.
  4. Keep getting nag error that I have nothing set to “Output”
  5. I see no way to do this, as everything is set to output
  6. What am I missing and can I do all three operations in succession automatically or even individually?
  7. Any help for a burn dummie?

You have “Cut Selected Graphics and Use Selection Origin” enabled. But it l looks like you only have the outline selected, which is a tool layer. Select all (Ctrl + A) and try again.

There is no way to do a line operation on an image. You will need to convert that image to a vector to use line mode. You could do an image trace, but Lightburn doesn’t have the ability to do a center line trace, so you will end up with double lines. For a simple cutout like this, just redraw it in Lightburn.

Thank you Tim. Once I deleted the image of squares and drew my own in LB it all fell into place. Appreciate the help.
