Engraving a small image takes forever (literaly)

Dear All, I have browsed the Forum to make sure to not waste your time, however I can’t find the solution to my problem:
first, let me explain a bit:
I am new to the game, I have no experience, probably will burn someting stinky down soon that’s why i startet small, China laser 0,5watt, cronosmaker board 30x40CM , and above 60% it does what it should do,
I tried one object, to get the hang of it and to make sure I understand it well, every time the same underground, and at this point I am pretty glad with the outcome only problem… extremely slow. ( in the preview it says 25min or so, it is taking me 245min.

Here is a overview of the print:

Here is a upload of my chosen settings:

Here the setting as it shows in lightburn of my controller (no idea which controller with what firmware, tips to find out are welcome)
image
(I noticed the speed of X-Y is very low, however I do not seem to be able to change this)
And here my $$ overview:

$0=10 $1=25 $2=0 $3=2 $4=0 $5=0 $6=0 $10=0 $11=1.000 $12=0.002 $13=0 $20=0 $21=0 $22=0 $23=0 $24=25.000 $25=500.000 $26=250 $27=1.000 $30=1000 $31=0 $32=0 $100=80.000 $101=80.000 $102=250.000 $110=8000.000 $111=8000.000 $112=500.000 $120=500.000 $121=500.000 $122=10.000 $130=500.000 $131=500.000 $132=200.000 Please guide me because I am pretty sure it is my lack of knowledge and not the machine or the software, and yes I will buy it if I have my laser up and running because I already love it. Best!

Have you tried “offset-fill”? instead of “fill” or “line&fill”? preview it… saves ALOT of “rapid move” time… ALSO, make sure bi-directional is checked. Let us know.

You have $32 set to 0, which means laser mode is disabled, and the controller will pause at each new power change. In the console, type $32=1 and press enter.

You also posted this image - read the red part:

.

If you click the blue highlighted button at the bottom, it reads the settings from your controller and will give more accurate time estimates.

If you flip to the ‘Basic Settings’ tab, enable ‘Fast Whitespace’ and set it to about 4500 mm/min. That will make the laser travel faster in the blank areas and will improve the engraving time as well.

Thank you for your T&T really appriciated!

I don’t seem to have the option that I can choose any other form than “Fill”

I don’t seem to have missed an Update, so maybe it is because I am nota paying customer yet?
Or is it a setting I missed,

Best,

Thank you also for the explination, really appricitate it!
I adjusted $32 to =1 and also the Fast whitespace is set to 4500 I will try that in a bit and let you know the result.

In the screenshot the numbers you see are the numbers returned when I hit “Read from Controller” So In my opinion because the X-Y axis are set to max 133.3 I don’t think I can activate faster speed in any ohter way that that 133.3. (not only in simulation)
Am I correct, or is this something I should not even take in to consideration?

Regards

Dear Both,

The printing went a lot faster (25 min instead of 250) so thank you for that!

Regards
