Engraving is 2 times as high as the setting in the HEIGHT field

I recently started a free 30 day trial of lightburn version 17.0.07 . I have a Wainlux L8 20 watt laser with a GRBL controller. I have a problem with the width and height setting. If I want a 90 mm circle I enter 90 mm in the width field but I have to enter 41 mm in the height field (just an estimate to get close to a circle) if I enter 90 in both fields, the width engraves correctly but it comes out around twice as high as it should be.

In your console window type $$ then press enter key. Copy and paste all the output here and we will help you.

Thank you so much, I’ve been driving myself crazy trying to figure it out. Besides that issue I really like Lightburn. I’m just getting ready for dinner so I will follow up this evening. Thanks again!

I couldn’t figure out how to copy and paste it so I took pictures. Thanks again for your help

Your settings look right for a belt drive on X and Y axis which was hard to see trying to look at your machine online.
At any rate you can go to EDIT at top left and machine settings at bottom, then calibrate axis to make changes.
Follow instructions and see if that works.

Your settings look correct. Do you possibly have the rotary enabled?

Yes, I do but I couldn’t get the rotary tool to turn.

That’s most likely why your Y axis is off. The rotary overrides the default Y axis settings. Disable the rotary and you should be back to normal.

I will give it a try. Thank you. I’ll let you know

That was the problem! Thank you so much for your help
