Hey Everyone!
Thank you in advance for anyone reading this as I am stuck and don’t know what to do! After a recent update of light burn I have started having issues engraving. any new file I upload and try to engrave it turns out blurry or doubled. However, this is only with new files and not old files that I have saved to my thunder laser. I’ve had my machine about a year now and never had this issue. Mirrors and lenses are clean and aligned correctly. Is there something with the new update that changed settings I am un aware of? I will upload pictures to show examples. Thanks again.
First picture is what engraving usually looks like. second and 3rd are examples of what it is doing after update. 4th is a comparison of a saved file on my thunder to a newly uploaded file. and the last two are pictures of the “test file” thunder gave me. on was ran a year ago when I got my machine and the blurry one I just did today.

Sometimes when you update LightBurn, Windows will do strange things, like ignore your preferences/settings. Go to File>Load Prefs Backup>Select an option that worked for you previously to get your old settings back.
Thank you so much for this! I went ahead and restored to an older date but it didn’t seem to fix the issue!
is it possible it has anything to do with scanning offset adjustment?
Yeah I think so. The example photos you’ve provided definitely have some ghosty looking edges. Did you previously use a scanning offset adjustment? If so, you might have to look back further in your prefs until you find the one with your adjustments.
