I have used lightburn for over a year with no problems and have not changed anything I am now getting an error message saying “ a problem transferring data to the laser. Machine may be busy or paused.” how can I correct this ..Right now I can not run any projects
I ran into a similar problem recently. I was not able to engrave more than a cm or two, but if I used the preview, followed by “send to laser from here” I was able to finish this sensitive job.
The next day, I topped off the chiller and the problem did not return! In the past, the laser would present a coolant error.
Knowing what kind of laser you have would help.
This is often caused by the laser being idle for too long and Windows shutting down the COM port. A reboot of both the PC and the laser usually cures it. Assuming you do not have something else grabbing that port before Lightburn can get it.
