My laser machine is not detecting the new version of lightburn on ethernet, My computer IP : is 192.168.0.100 and on the lightburn and Laser I have 192.168.0.101 and still not working. What might be the problem?
It’s the other way around: the machine just sits there until a program like LightBurn sends it commands. ![]()
Make sure you’ve gone through all the steps in the setup:
The machine display should indicate the network is connected. This is one with the network cable unplugged:
Some Ruida controllers have status LEDs for the network. Which controller does the machine have?
If you have the PC plugged directly into the machine, check the LEDs on the PC’s Ethernet jack. Typically, the green LED indicates the cable is plugged in and the amber LED shows network activity.
With those checks done, we’ll need more information so the hive mind can ponder the situation:
- Photo of the machine display showing the laser’s IP address
- Screenshot of the LightBurn
Device Settingsshowing the laser’s IP address - Screenshot of the Windows
ipconfigresults - Does the machine controller’s display show the network is connected?
- Screenshot of the Windows
pingof the laser’s IP address from the PC - With the laser turned off, screenshot of the Windows
pingwhen you ping the laser’s IP address
Type the ipconfig and ping commands in a Command Prompt window that you start by hitting the Win key and the R key, then typing cmd into the run dialog box.
