I believe that a galvo laser requires the PRO version of LB. Do you know which version you have? PRO is backward compatible - so if you have the PRO version, you are all set for the other kinds on lasers, too.
EZCad won’t run with the same drivers as Lightburn, so, no it doesn’t have to be installed. However, you need access the markcfg7 file that contains configuration information for the controller and the correction information for your particular lens.
