Good morning, it is mandatory on a sculpfun s10 to have limit switches if I want to put a camera, thank you

Yes, limit switches are required for the camera function to work properly. Using a camera with a diode laser - Diode Laser Wiki

You can also install the cam without a limit switch.

Now you make me doubt, I think it is possible but several have told me that it was mandatory

See the discussion here, I explained it there: Are limit switches really necessary for installing a camera? - #5 by misken

Technically, they are not required, if you can make sure that the position of the laser head is retained at all times at mm-precision. Since this is very complicated without end stops, they are considered as required. You won’t have much fun without.

You can mount the camera without end stops, but you can’t really use it afterward. So it doesn’t make sense usually.

Another question, if I use this limit switch, I only connect two cables in common and NC, right? Or do I have to put three cables?

The control board, when set up for limit switches, can be set for Normally open (where the closed switch is the trigger) or Normally Closed (where the open switch is the trigger).

Generally, the Normally closed Limit switches are preferred because a broken switch wire will show the switch in the limit state.

A controller board without limit switches could be equipped with Normally Open switches because the inputs will read in the resting (un-triggered) state.

Yes, two wires are enough. Three wires are only required for switches that have an additional LED showing the activated state.

Thank you for answering, because I am not doing something right, I have put the switches on the left front and I have followed the steps in the tutorial and it does not work for me, the machine moves a little and stops, if you can tell me the parameters that I have to change I would appreciate it, thank you

It depends on some factors. Did you check using the ? command if your switches are correctly recognized?
Every step is explained here: Limit Switches - Diode Laser Wiki

Si me los reconocía,pnxy, pero algún parámetro no tengo bien seguro, hoy probaré otra vez, ayer termine saturado :sob:

Yes, pnxy recognized them, but I am not sure about some parameters, today I will try again, yesterday I ended up saturated :sob:

1 both stepped on, 2 none stepped on, 3 and 4 stepped on one by one, stepped on I mean activated contact

Sorry, I put it wrong, 1 the two contacts are not activated and 2 the two contacts are activated at the zero point,

Well, thank you and sorry for everything, solved, I had some parameter incorrectly set, grateful for your interest in the topic, happy new year

Please share how it was solved.

Pues cambie el Parámetro $5=1 a 0
