I am a beginner. My Monport 30W MOPA fiber laser has an autofocus and I have not dealt with the focus yet. That’s why I didn’t realize that there is a switch to activate the second red laser dot.
When I activate them and use the autofocus, I notice that all three dots never meet. Even if I set it manually, the three dots never meet. Two points meet exactly, but the original laser point is always slightly offset.
Mine has two laser pointers in the head and would correspond to the blue in the photos. I don’t know if these are used for autofocus or for the user. I have mine turned off. I have an led spot from the laser when idle and it sits in the middle of the work area. It appears to be from the source or head as it isn’t there when I try to frame an object.
It’s a good question for the vendor. My red spots (blue in the photo) are turned off and I use a measuring stick and/or it’s noise level to set mine.
I’m guessing that one of your spots is from the fiber source or a combiner within the galvo.
It appears to be like mine, but without more information on how the autofocus works, I don’t know of any help unless other users have figured it out.
I can adjust two of the laser pointers on the galvo, however, when I change lenses, I have to adjust again. Not to mention, it’s really a pain, so mine are just turned off.
Does the center dot go away and you only see the framed object? That’s how mine is working.
