I have a FoxAlien Masuter Pro with 40W laser. I have everything hooked up, lightburn downloaded, laser connected but I cannot get the laser or anything to move. I had the router hooked up prior and was able to get that to move but nothing when the laser is hooked up? Suggestions or help? Thanks!
Is the machine homing when you turn it on?
Do you see a ‘Ready’ status in your Laser window?
If the machine is both homed and ‘Ready’ with the position of the laser in the front left corner, I suspect you may just need to define a workspace offset as described in our documentation for negative coordinate machines.
Go to the Console Window and enter in a question mark:
?
If you see a line like this returned from the console,
<Idle|MPos:-377.000,-377.000,-3.000|Bf:35,253|FS:0,0|WCO:-356.680,-321.120,-19.510>
then enter these two commands, one line at a time;
$10=0
G10 L20 P1 X0 Y0
After that, try ‘?’ again, you should see something like this:
<Idle|WPos:0.000,0.000,16.510|FS:0,0|WCO:-377.000,-377.000,-19.510>
Then you should be good to go with the laser.
Note: If you need to put the settings back to how they were (to use the router) enter:
$RST=#
$10=1
That should set the position reporting and work offsets back to default.
