Trying 3d maps and cannot figure out how to connect street lines to frame to make a solid piece to cut. Tried welding did not work.
Any help would be appreciated
Thx
Search YouTube and this forum for explanations on how the weld feature works. It only works on closed shapes. Make sure the street shape is closed and the border as well, then weld. Do one after another, not all streets at once. The algorithm needs to be able to determine the inside and outside of the shapes and the overlapping area.
Thanks, Ill try that
Still can’t figure it out…So I import a layer with streets into Lightburn, put a frame around it and try to make the end of the streets attach to the frame so when it cuts it leaves the end of the streets attached to the frame…All the youtube videos on this topic show it in another software program…
Maybe it can’t be done in LB…If you know anything else I can try would appreciate your thoughts
Thanks
You might need to do this manually for all streets and the frame using the node edit tool. If the streets are no closed shapes, welding is no option. Maybe show a screenshot of the project, then it’s easier to check.
Thanks, I’ve seen others do this in Inkscape, so I will concentrate on doing this task in that software.
Thank you for your all your input
