Frame no longer shows preview of details

Running Lightburn Pro 2.0.05 on Win10 Pro, connected via USB to a HL Laser JPT MOPA M7 60W Fiber Laser, JCZ board card LMCV4.

Previously, when I would have text or a path selected to engrave if I clicked “Frame” the laser would trace out the path the laser would be taking, showing the details. After no intentional or known changes, it now only shows an outline box. When I run the engraving, it still engraves as intended, doing all of the details.

Is there a setting or toggle I might have accidentally clicked for this to have happened? Thanks!

I am having a similar issue after updating to the latest version with M7 source, except I get no bounding box at all. Red dot is visible but otherwise nothing.

I was able to get a workaround. Create a copy of the image and set it to T1 or T2 and turn “frame” on in the layer settings window.

Unfortunately, this didn’t work for me… It will trace outline boxes for an image or multiple smaller boxes for individual letters in text, but not details.

I reached out to support and they gave me the solution! I feel silly, but the solution is selecting “Contour” instead of “Bounds” in the Live Framing window.

That means you have “tool layers only” toggled on in your framing window. Turn it off and it should frame everything.

This was not my issue. I was able to resolve by loading an older prefs file from mid March that has resolved the issue. Anecdotally, in the old prefs file “red dot always on” was toggled off, toggling has no noticable affect on function. The only change I can think of performing concerning settings was loading from the machine to get accurate time estimates. I have since repeated that step with the old prefs file loaded and functionality remains.
