Frame not in the correct position

(Ray Webster) #1

I wrote on here on another thread that I was getting the nag screen “may cut out of bounds - continue?”
I have been trying to figure out why, and tonight I did.
Lightburn is creating a boundary, or “framing” the work based on the origin as the bottom left corner, but my origin is the center of the work piece.

I created the burning of the “frame” by holding down the test buttom as it went around.
My file in Lightburn (no box around vectors):

How do i fix this?

Thanks

For the moment, use the O-Frame button next to the square frame. This looks like a bug in the frame code User Origin on GCode systems. I’ve fixed this for the next release.

I actually don’t use the frame button, not that I’ve cut much. But I’m pretty sure this is the cause of my “Cutting outside” nag screen error.
I will try the O-frame tonight to see what it does.

So i checked the O-frame today, and it works fine. I re-checked the square frame and its still using the lower left corner for origin.

Thank-you Oz. This is wonderful software, I am so glad I found it.
