I keep getting the Frame Slop Error… I’ve set up my rotary just fine before… For some reason, I did it wrong this time and I can not figure out what or how to correct it. I have several things to engrave on my rotary… and I really want to figure out what I’m doing wrong. If anyone has any advice. TIA!
Let me see if I can. help. If you set your origin to the center of the design and make sure that the area of the design does not exceed the circumference and height of the object to be imaged, that should work. Also set “Start From” as the place you set the laser head on the center of the object.
Have you even gotten that error without the rotary… I’d be yes…
The rotary is just a substitute for the Y table. Except for a few changes in the math, it’s treated the same as the Y table.
How do you setup the rotary… Most people plug in the rotary and then power it up 'esc’ing out of the home sequence… How do you do it…?
I power mine up then hot swap the connection… One day I might kill a motor driver, but no issues yet.
However you set it up, look at the Y location in the console and move it so it will have room for your artwork. This is probably the issue…
After the head was positioned, did you press ‘origin’ if you are using ‘user origin’ as ‘start from’.?
Makes sense?
I prefer to set the job origin at the left center. This allows me to align the manufacturers logo with the artwork…
